About Lynne

I am an experienced counsellor and am a Senior Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Registered Counsellor with the UK Register of Independent Counsellors\Psychotherapists.

My core training is in Psychosynthesis, however as everyone is unique in their needs, I also work in an integrative way offering other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and a variety of creative therapeutic tools.

I work within the BACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I am fully insured and DBS checked.

I receive professional supervision with all aspects of my therapeutic practice.

I am a member of Sussex Counselling which is a professional network of counsellors and psychotherapists working within East and West Sussex.


My private practice
Established in 1997 I work in Newhaven and Brighton.

I currently work as a Student Counsellor at the University of Brighton.

I have worked as a counsellor at: Northbrook College Sussex; the Young People's Centre in Brighton; City College Brighton and Hove; and at MankindUK (charity supporting male survivors of rape and sexual abuse). I have also worked as a Volunteer Supervisor for the national bereavement charity, CRUSE, in Eastbourne.

I offer counselling sessions via: face-to-face; telephone and SKYPE.

I am a qualified supervisor and offer individual and group supervision for both qualified and trainee counsellors in my practice in Newhaven.

I also offer short term counselling for employees whose organisations offer an Employee Assistance Programme.
